Program Description
Proton therapy has existed for decades, but it's only recently begun to be clinically adopted. Rather than being a stand-alone treatment, this therapy is often best used in conjunction with surgery or chemotherapy. Outside of oncology, what other conditions might proton therapy be used to treat? Join host Dr. Lee Freedman and his guest, Dr. James Metz, vice chair of the department of radiation oncology at Penn Medicine, to learn more about future directions of proton therapy.
