Program Description

Internist Dr. Audrey Corson discusses why the practice of medicine remains satisfying to her, despite the challenges of maintaining an independent medical practice. She and host Gary Epstein talk about why she feels maintaining her current practice model, with no insurance contracts, is critical to her provision of excellent patient care. Her unique background includes serving as a nurse practitioner before going to medical school. Having worked both sides of the extender equation, she also discusses her views of the role of extenders in practice.
