Anokhi Jambusaria, MD, MSCE, FAAD, is an assistant professor of medicine and attending physician in the Department of Dermatology at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School in Austin, TX. Dr Jambusaria received her bachelor of arts degree in biology from Temple University and her doctor of medicine degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Following medical school, she was awarded a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and spent 2 years as a clinical research fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She was involved in numerous clinical trials and clinical studies and also completed a master of science degree in clinical epidemiology (MSCE). She then completed her internship at Drexel University College of Medicine and her residency at the University of Pennsylvania in the department of dermatology. Dr Jambusaria is board certified in dermatology.

Dr Jambusaria’s clinical and research interests are in the definition and management of high-risk cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. Her thesis work for her master’s degree involved the development of the first iteration of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital staging system, which has been shown in multiple studies to be superior to the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging system, and risk factors identified in her studies served as the basis for the development of the most recent AJCC 8th edition staging system.

Dr Jambusaria has been the recipient of multiple nationally competitive grants to support her research, including the Dermatology Foundation and National Institutes of Health (NIH). Her work has led to authorship on nearly 30 peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and an active member of the International Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative (ITSCC).
