Dr. Arvind Agnihotri is an academic cardiac surgeon in Boston, where he is currently on the staff at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He has a busy adult cardiac surgical practice, with special interests in training of residents, complex adult cardiac surgery, minimally invasive techniques, cardiac transplantation, and aortic surgery.
He is an assistant professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School, and serves as the Stanford Calderwood Distinguished Scholar in Cardiac Surgery and the director of Cardiac Quality Assessment and Improvement for the Partners Health Care System. With a diverse background in engineering, computer science and mathematics, Dr. Agnihotri has been productive in a wide range of academic pursuits with numerous publications and book chapters. Areas of interest include device development, outcomes research, database development, electronic medical records and medical simulation.
