Dr. Azza El-Remessy is assistant professor and director of clinical and experimental therapeutics at the University of Georgia in Augusta.

Dr. El-Remessy received her BPharm, MS in biochemistry and PhD in opthamology research at Mansoura University in Mansoura, Egypt. She completed a fellowship in vascular biology at the medical college of Georgia.

Dr. El-Remessy has been received a Scientist Development Grant from the American Heart Association/National; a Young Investigator Travel Award from National Eye Institute; and a Young Scientist Travel Award from American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics
