Dr. Brian Carter is a Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He co-directs the Pediatric Advance Comfort Team at Vanderbilt, attends regularly in the neonatal ICU, and is also active in the neonatal follow-up clinic, perinatal morbidity & mortality reviews, and hospital performance improvement activities at Vanderbilt. He also serves on the Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Ethics Committee. Dr. Carter is the author of the book, Palliative Care for Infants, Children and Adolescents: A Practical Handbook.
