Dr. Christopher B. Colwell is an associate professor of surgery in the division of emergency medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He is the associate director of emergency medicine at Denver Health Medical Center and medical director of the Denver Paramedic Division and Denver Fire Department.

Dr. Colwell has lectured on a variety of pre-hospital and emergency medicine topics at the local, state and national level and authored a number of published papers and original research articles on a variety of topics in both pre-hospital care and emergency medicine. Additionally, Dr. Colwell has co-directed the Rocky Mountain Trauma and Emergency Medicine Conference for eight years.
