Dr. Claire Friend is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA-HGHMC. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, of two professional publications. Dr. Friend is in private practice in Newport Beach.
Dr. Friend also a writer. She contributed a monthly column for a local magazine. She is a recognized expert on the link between mood and stress and heart disease who has lectured extensively throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Her primary interest for the past decade has been the uniqueness of heart disease in women and the need for the development of a specific gender-based protocol for its prevention and treatment.
