Dr. David T. Rubin earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in gastroenterology and clinical medical ethics at the University of Chicago, where he served as chief resident and chief fellow. Dr. Rubin is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, and is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, previously serving on the Ethics Committee, and currently serving on the Subcommittee for Training. He is also a member of the American College of Gastroenterologists, serving on the Professional Issues and Publications Committees. Further, Dr. Rubin is involved with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), chairing the Illinois Educational Program from 2005 until 2008. He now serves as chair of professional education for CCFA nationally, and directs their national fellowship and preceptorship programs.
