Dr. Deborah Proctor is a professor of medicine and the gastroenterology fellowship program director at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Proctor is also the medical director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program at Yale. Dr. Proctor is a staff physician at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.

After receiving her MD from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Dr. Proctor completed an internship in pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Proctor went on to complete an internship and residency in internal medicine, as well as a fellowship in gastroenterology, at Beth Israel Hospital.
