Dr. Donald Sefcik is the senior associate dean in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University (MSU), where he is also a professor in the department of family and community medicine. Prior to working at MSU, he was the associate dean and a professor at Midwestern University's Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and the program director for the Community Health Resource Center. Dr. Sefcik has been involved in the training and assessment of healthcare providers for over 20 years.

Dr. Sefcik is a member of several organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) and the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP). Dr. Sefcik has received many prestigious honors and awards, such as the Mentor Hall of Fame Award given by the AOA, MWU's Student Choice Award (twice), and the Golden Apple Award given by the graduating class of Midwestern University's physician assistant program (three times). Dr. Sefcik has served on the board of directors for NCCPA since 2003 and serves as chairman of the board for 2010.
