Dr. Edward Gill is professor of medicine in the division of cardiology in the department of medicine and an adjunct professor in the department of radiology at the University of Washington, and clinical professor of diagnostic ultrasound at Seattle University.

Prior to his time at the University of Washington, Dr. Gill directed the echocardiography laboratory at the University of Colorado, and the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program from 1993-2000.

Dr. Gill is currently the director of Echocardiography at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Dr. Gill's main areas of research are advanced cardiac imaging, including three-dimensional imaging using echocardiography as well as cardiac MRI. Dr. Gill also has research interests in preventive cardiology and the effect of omega-3 fatty acids on carotid IMT and cardiac biomarkers in patients with metabolic syndrome.

Dr. Gill is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and lipidology. He is also a fellow of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the National Lipid Association.
