Dr. Jason Woo is the associate director for Scientific and Medical Affairs in the Office of Compliance for the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  His responsibilities include directing the office's post-market surveillance and risk-based approaches to compliance and enforcement actions, integrating compliance activities in reviewing premarket data integrity and product quality inspections with the new drug approval process, and directing the office's strategic problem-solving activities to reduce the public health risks associated with drug products marketed in violation of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.   

Dr. Woo obtained his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University's Hebert School of Medicine and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University Hospital.  He has a master's degree in public health from the University of Arizona, and a diploma in economics from the London School of Economics.  Dr. Woo maintains his clinical practice as a faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Washington Hospital Center and consultant at the Bread for the City Free Clinic in Washington, DC.
