Dr. Whittington is a lead faculty member for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Triple Aim Project. He has also worked on numerous other IHI projects related to patient safety, inpatient mortality reduction, and engaging physicians in Quality. Formerly, he was the Medical Director of Knowledge Management/ Patient Safety Officer OSF Healthcare System and in practice for many years as a Family physician.
