Kenneth Burman, MD

    Dr. Kenneth D. Burman is the director of the endocrine section at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, and a professor of medicine at Georgetown University's School of Medicine. Dr. Berman also serves as director, integrated endocrine training program at Georgetown University / Washington Hospital Center.

    The current president of the American Thyroid Association (ATA), Dr. Burman is a member of many professional societies, including the American Medical Association and ATA. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and is board-certified in endocrinology and metabolism, and is also certified as a specialist in clinical nutrition.

    Dr. Burman received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and his medical degree from the University of Missouri Medical School. He trained at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis and also served as a fellow in endocrinology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.
