Dr. Lona Mody is an assistant professor of internal medicine in the division of geriatric medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School. She also serves as a research scientist at the Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System's Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center.
Dr. Mody's clinical interests revolve broadly around geriatrics and infectious diseases. Her specific research interests include infections and antimicrobial resistance in long-term care, pneumonia in older adults, and overall quality of care in nursing home facilities.
She earned her MBBS from Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College in Gujarat, India; completed her residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark; and finished her fellowship in geriatric medicine within the division of internal medicine at the University of Michigan.
