Manjula Kurella Tamura, MD, MPH
Manjula Kurella Tamura, MD, MPH

    Dr. Manjula Kurella Tamura is a nephrologist and assistant professor of medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. She serves on the American Society of Nephrology Chronic Kidney Disease Advisory Board and has been working with other society members to develop a geriatric nephrology curriculum for trainees. Her research is centered on evaluating the use and outcomes of dialysis in the very elderly, focusing on cognitive and other functional outcomes.

    Dr. Kurella Tamura received her MD from Albany Medical College, and then went on to complete her internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center. She completed her fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Kurella Tamura received her MPH from the University of California, Berkeley.

    Dr. Kurella Tamura serves as a reviewer for a number of publications, including the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, the American Journal of Kidney Diseases and the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society.
