Maryana McGlasson is a nurse practitioner at Alliance Urgent Care in Phoenix, Arizona. On a volunteer trip to Nigeria with Doctors without Borders in Nigeria, she oversaw a cholera treatment camp, where she directed patient care, and hired, trained and managed over 150 medical personnel. At the same time, she monitored changes in the epidemic response based on day-to-day epidemiological data collection. She was promoted to outreach coordinator, where she monitored the cholera situation for the state. She is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Nursing in Seattle, and has been a nurse practitioner since 2005.
