Dr. Matthew Hegewald is a pulmonary and critical care physician at Intermountain Medical Center and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Utah. He is Medical Director of the Pulmonary Function and Blood Gas Laboratory at Intermountain Medical Center. His responsibilities include practicing general pulmonary and critical care medicine, teaching medical students, residents and fellows, conducting research with a focus on lung function testing topics, and administrative functions. Dr. Hegewald has several research publications in the field of lung function testing. He has held numerous leadership positions and is currently the CHEST Pulmonary Physiology, Function and Rehabilitation Network Chairman.
