Dr. Mauricio Lynn is an associate professor of surgery in the Ryder Trauma Center at University of Miami School of Medicine and the head of Mass Casualty Preparedness and Response at University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Medical Center.

Dr. Lynn is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Israeli Defense Forces where he served for 18 years.  Dr Lynn was Flight Surgeon with the Israeli Air Force Special Forces Medical Commander of the Air Rescue and Medical Evacuation Unit and Head of Trauma for the Military. He was in charge of policy making for field trauma care field management of MCI's for the military and advisor for the Israeli EMS for urban MCI's. He served as advisor for the Israeli Health Ministry on Trauma and Hospital Preparedness for MCI's and in charge of hospital preparedness education and training together with the Health Ministry for all hospitals in Israel.
