Nina Shah, MD
I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, specifically in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of California San Francisco. My clinical focus is on multiple myeloma and my research focus is on cellular and immunotherapy. I am most interested in natural killer cells and adoptive cell therapy and am have conducted a first-in-human clinical trial for umbilical cord blood-derived natural killer cells as an adjunct cell therapy in the setting of high dose chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplantation for multiple myeloma. I am also involved with post-transplant maintenance therapy and study of novel combinations of chemotherapy for myeloma transplant patients. In addition, I am working within a cooperative group to conduct a first-ever multi-center post-transplant vaccine study for this population.
