Dr. Butler completed his medical degree and general surgery residency at the University of Virginia, a master’s degree in public health (MPH) at the University of California-Berkeley, and his post-doctoral research fellowship at Stanford University. He completed his Plastic Surgery residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and most recently served as Chief Resident. Dr. Butler has clinical interests in breast reconstruction, abdominal wall reconstruction, limb salvage and extremity reconstruction, scar/wound management, and aesthetic surgery. His clinical focus in cosmetic surgery includes breast augmentation, breast lifts, abdominoplasty, buttock augmentation/body contouring, and facial aesthetics. In addition to his MD, Dr. Butler holds an MPH in the field of health policy and management, with plans to contribute to the issues of surgical education, health care policy, and the provision of care to the underserved.
