Dr. Nyirjesy is a professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has received numerous teaching awards throughout his career, including:

Dr. Nyirjesy's clinical research studies focus primarily on vulvovaginal conditions. His work has been published in such peer-reviewed journals as Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the New England Journal of Medicine and the Lancet. In addition, he has contributed numerous book chapters and audiovisual publications. Dr. Nyirjesy is currently a reviewer for more than a dozen journals including Obstetrics and Gynecology, where he had the distinction of being selected as one of the top 100 reviewers in 2003.
