Dr. Nyirjesy is a professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has received numerous teaching awards throughout his career, including: -Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics Excellence in Teaching Award (2003, 2005) -Greater Philadelphia Comprehensive Ob/Gyn Review Course, Distinguished Faculty Award (1998) -J. Marion Sims Teaching Award, Thomas Jefferson University Medical College -Excellence in Teaching Ob/Gyn Medical Students of Block 6 Award, Thomas Jefferson University Medical College RESEARCH INTERESTS Vulvovaginal conditions RESEARCH Dr. Nyirjesy's clinical research studies focus primarily on vulvovaginal conditions. His work has been published in such peer-reviewed journals as Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the New England Journal of Medicine and the Lancet. In addition, he has contributed numerous book chapters and audiovisual publications. Dr. Nyirjesy is currently a reviewer for more than a dozen journals including Obstetrics and Gynecology, where he had the distinction of being selected as one of the top 100 reviewers in 2003.
