I am a proud native of Miami, Florida and currently a Broward county resident. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C., Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Health Promotion/Disease Prevention from Florida International University Robert Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work, and Doctorate in Education with concentration in Adult Education/Human Resource Development, and Certification in Infection Control. Currently employed as a Clinical Care Coordinator at Jackson Health System Department of Infection Prevention and Control, and adjunct faculty at Nova Southeastern University Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing. I have been employed at Jackson Memorial Hospital for 25 years where “Miracles Happen Daily.” My interest include: reading, walking, spending quality time with family and friends, health education/ disease prevention, public health nursing, nursing education, infectious disease, improving access to care, and helping to help eliminate health disparities among minority populations.
