Sharon Langshur comes to CarePages, Inc. with an extensive and varied background in the healthcare field. She was most recently engaged as a pediatric resident at Children's Memorial Hospital (part of the Northwestern University system) in Chicago. Prior to entering the Northwestern medical system, Sharon completed her medical training at the University of Connecticut in 1997, achieving honors in all clinical rotations and serving as her class valedictorian. She was also the recipient of several awards including the Dean's award and the Linda Ives award for excellence in pediatric research. Following graduation, she completed a one-year academic fellowship in Anatomic Pathology.

Prior to entering medical school, Sharon was in the field of human genetics from 1986 to 1993, initially as a researcher and then, following completion of a Master's degree, in clinical human genetics as a genetic counselor. Throughout her medical career, she has published clinical research papers and taught in several medical school courses. A native of Canada, Sharon achieved a B.Sc. at McGill University, an M.S. at Sarah Lawrence College and an M.D. at the University of Connecticut.
