Sherwin Ho, MD
    Dr. Sherwin Ho is Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center, and Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. He is an expert in sports medicine, specializing in minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle. He has served as faculty at numerous advanced arthroscopic shoulder and knee courses for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Ho currently serves on the academy's Board of Councilors and is an official spokesman for the academy. He has authored numerous medical articles and reference publications. Dr. Ho has served as a co-chief editor of sports medicine for the online publication, Emedicine, and is chairman of the annual University of Chicago Primary Care Orthopedics Course. He has also moderated industry conferences on a range of orthopaedic topics including knee and shoulder injuries, advances in arthroscopic surgery, swimmer's shoulder, and primary orthopaedic care. Recently, Dr. Ho was awarded a two-year "young investigators grant" by the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine for his research using gene therapy to treat cartilage injuries in the knees. Together with Dr. Michael Terry, Dr. Ho serves as a team physician for the Chicago Blackhawks. Additionally, Dr. Ho is the team physician for all varsity sports at Concordia University in River Forest, and a team physician for the United States volleyball team.
