Dr. Todd Mahr is director of pediatric allergy/immunology at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He is also clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison.
After receiving a bachelor of arts degree from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, Dr. Mahr obtained his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He completed an internship and residency at Gundersen Medical Foundation, La Crosse Lutheran Hospital, and was a fellow in allergy/immunology at Children’s Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University Medical School, in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Mahr belongs to numerous allergy societies, is currently on the board of regents of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and is past-president of the Wisconsin Allergy Society. He has been active in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), helping to plan the annual meeting and faculty at numerous AAP courses. He is chair of the Wisconsin Asthma Coalition, funded by the Centers for Disease Control. Dr. Mahr is the recipient of the American Lung Association’s Volunteer of the Year award for the year 2000.
