Tonya Chaffee, MD
    Dr Chaffee completed Pediatric Residency, Chief Residency, and subspecialty fellowship training Adolescent Medicine at University of California, San Francisco. She subsequently completed an Academic Fellowship in Violence Prevention, through the California Wellness Foundation, at San Francisco General Hospital. During this fellowship, she earned my MPH at UC Berkeley, while conducting research and policy work in violence prevention, including training providers in youth violence prevention. Currently Dr. Chaffee is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, for the University of California, San Francisco, at Zuckerbeg San Francisco General. She is ZFGs Medical Director of the Child and Adolescent Support, Advocacy and Resource Center, the sexual assault center for the City and County of San Francisco. She is also the Director of Teen and Young Adult Health Center at ZSFG. Dr Chaffee is also director of an elective for pediatric residents on adolescent reproductive health and an elective on child/adolescent physical and sexual abuse. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, Physicians for Reproductive Health, and is involved with several other local Bay Area youth organizations. She is passionate about advancing the education of providers in caring for adolescents and young adults, and teaches other faculty, residents, nurse practioner students, and medical students in all areas of health care for youth, with a particular emphasis for underserved youth populations (e.g. immigrant, foster care, incarcerated, and LGBT youth)
