Dr. Rachel Chin is professor of emergency medicine at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, and attending physician at San Francisco General Hospital. She is the editor-in-chief of the textbook Emergency Management of Infectious Diseases. She has lectured and written extensively on infectious diseases and is a speaker at national meetings of the American College of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Chin earned her undergraduate degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and medical degree from Health Science Center at State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. She did her residency training in emergency medicine at the Stanford/Kaiser Emergency Medicine program in Palo Alto, California.
