Richard Weisman, PharmD

    Dr. Richard S. Weisman is a research associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, director of the Florida Poison Information Center and coordinator, Weapons of Mass Destruction Response Program at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Medical Center. A board-certified toxicologist, Dr. Weisman is a fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology.

    Dr. Weisman also is a past president of the American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC), for which he now serves as chair of governmental affairs. In addition, Dr. Weisman is a deputy commander of the South Florida Regional Disaster Medical Assistance Team and the International Medical & Surgical Disaster Response Team South, part of the United States Department of Health and Human Services and the National Disaster Medical System.
