William Hall, MD

    Dr. William J. Hall is the Paul Fine Professor of Medicine, Oncology and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center and director of the Center for Healthy Aging at Highland Hospital, also in Rochester, New York.

    Since joining the University of Rochester in 1973, Dr. Hall has been involved in research on human aging. He founded the Center for Lifetime Wellness, a fitness center dedicated to adults over age 50. He has distinguished himself as a teacher, having been awarded the Keith Minor ford Award by two graduating classes, and the Jahnigen Award from the American Geriatrics society for national contributions to teaching. He received the Gold Medal Award from the University of Rochester Medicine Center Alumni Association, and was also the recipient of the David Kaiser Award form the Rochester Academy of Medicine in 2004.

    Dr. Hall has been involved in numerous organizations, especially the American College of Physicians, where he has served on the board of governors, board of regents, and was national president of the American College of Physicians from 2001 to 2001. Dr. Hall is on the board of directors of the American Association of Retired Persons.
